Any one got any bikes? I'll start of with mine - An old Yamaha AG 100. It's been sitting in the shed for five years, so the other day I dragged it out. Chucked a few litres of fuel in the tank, some down the carby, kicked it over a few times and she fired up. Can't believe it's been sitting for five years, and it was that easy to start.

Anyone know any good places in Victoria where I can ride it? Haven't been riding in years, and would like to go for another hack.

I've been gradually getting out of bikes - sold two last year, but still got three. The old man has another 4 or 5 tucked away at his place.

The photo of me with the BSA is a "few" years old

My mate has an Old Suzuki RM80 and one of those cheapo Atomik bikes (250cc) goes alright for what it is.

He and I went riding a couple of weeks back to gembrook, pretty alright for riding dirt bikes if you ask me, I had not been on a bike for a while so I was taking it easy but I have ridden a CBR Fire blade 900 and a couple of 250s, always wanted to get my license but the missus begs to differ.

still tho I wouldn't mind one of those Hiyosungs (spelling lol) to comute to work and back.....

The AG isn't registered, and I don't have a bike licence. Is this likely to cause me problems?
I was out near gembrook a few weeks ago, would be a good place to ride. When I was a kid I used to ride out in Gippsland, near Buchan.

When I say near, it was about 3 hours away from Buchan.

Yes it is likely to be a problem. Ive never had a license or a registered bike and have only been caught by coppers twice in all my 15 years of riding and both times i got let off with a warning. Me and my mates have a deal where if we see the ranger we head down the first left hand track we find and just keep going, every man for himself kinda thing.

My beastie. It's off the road at the moment with a spun big end. Hoping to have it mobile again in the next few months. I just gotta stop spending all my cash on the Datto >_<

Bikes are my first passion. Dattos a close-ish second :)

When I was slightly younger I was really into BMX riding and mountain bike riding also. Both of these bikes I still have in my garage but I am considering buying a cheapish dirt bike also. But the associated costs with getting all of the gear, and then rego and whatnot is what is making me think twice. Although where I live there are a few good places I could ride and not get caught.

I used to downhill alot too! I still try and get out as much as I can but it's sort of a once every two month thing :(.
I spend too much time playing with the Silvia and the Datsun and the KTM.

Only got my first dirtbike this year (always wanted one), 1997 KTM 250 EXC off a mate for $500. It had a cracked barrel but i got that fully reco'd and rebuilt it (love 2 stroke rebuilds) and then after that I taught myself to rejet the thing and now it's going really well :).
It looks a bit rough but all the wheel bearings, top end, brakes, pads etc are all new now so it feels great to ride (in my experience....which is virtually none!). Being a KTM it's got the same Brembos they still sell, Ohlins rear shock, Marzocchis up front etc.

I also bought another bike last weekend, Husqvarna TE610 converted to supermotard spec. Behr wheels with cush drive, big rotor on the front with an adaptor for the twin pot Brembos and so on. Should be fun when i've got it ready for rego and on the road.
