Half the time with Boso style cars, those oil lines aren't even connected to the engine. Just hanging out the front for show. Thats the Bosozoku style.

That celica is mild compared to the full on Bosozoku style cars. Some of them are just silly. eg:

It's fairly big in Japan. Like everything in Japan there are cats that go all the way in their scene. The car scene is huge over there. All types of different clubs and fads. It's not all about drifting in Japan. It's a wicked place to visit (and probably live).

I like it.
The cars more of a extreme shatokan style than bozoku.
Orginated from street racer motorcycle gangs, which evolved into highly modified cars.
Think bolt on flairs, big wheels, spoilers, copy of the race cars at the time.
Then slowly it morphed into the brightly colour crazy sleds.
They have their own style of coolness, but shakotan is where its at, big dish, low ride height, a nice front spoiler.
So in reality everyone seems to be digging abit of bozoku style.
