Just got back from the rally now. Only stayed to watch the first stage as brianna was getting tired standing (as you'd expect from someone pregnant). Thomo, what sorta car were you racing? 1600 or a Z? And were you VRC or VCRS? Because i didn't see car # 44, but the VCRS cars didn;t do the first stage... also why was that?

Riley, I was in the green 1600 #44 VCRS.
The first stage was cancelled after car 42 (liberty) for some reason. We heard a couple of reasons why one was there were protesters on the stage and another was they decided the 1st speci point was to dangerous because of two way traffic Either way we were very pissed off that they let VRC go through and stopped us (we ended up just driving through the stage turning right at the speci point to shorten it). I spoke to many people that were at the 1st speci point including my family and they said there was no problems with how it was setup.
I let the president of the BLCC know of my thoughts on this at service, don't think he was impressed with my opinion

Didn't get to see you Simon, was at Spectator Point 1 but had to leave before VCRS came through.
Then they merged Stages 6 and 7 together after VRC was done. I saw you fly by, but too dark for photos

Yeah those protestors... i didn't get why they were there the bastards. As for the safety, there was no reason to be concerned about how it as setup. My vids i took will show that. I'll post some up later this arvo

We didn't have a very good run. Blew a steer tyre 3km before the end of SS 3. Engine cut out on SS5. And had brakes locking on for the last 3 stages.
