Alrighty,
who would be interested in karting?
I propose a day, afternoon or nite of karting fun at Auscarts in port melbourne.
http://www.auscarts.com.au/

Why port melbourne?
Its indoor, so no matter what weather it is, racing is assured!
(I dont mind go karting in the rain though, upto you guys)
Also port melbourne is the most central for guys from all over vic.
Track is also quite fun, ive raced there once with a few mates, had a ball.
(No I dont have a track advantage, I came second last out of 9 people  )

Could take up the sunday and monday special of $1 per lap.
laps are about 27 seconds long if your super fast..

something different, you get to thrash someone elses machinary without the worry of fixing it afterwards.
This said, auscarts arent too keen on crash and bash racing, we got booted off after 47 laps.
Had a few fair warnings tho, I managed to break a mates cart

Interested?
Suggestions on location?
Report back in this thread.

Could also link this to datsun1200

Cheers,
Dan

yep i'm down with that idea. Go karting is wicked fun and its classic if it rains so either way it'll be fun. Some places can organise little group sessions so maybe can check prices and get back to the group!

yeah they have "grandprix" style sessions
Not exactly cheap though..
get practise, qual and a main race.
More cost effective to do just flat out laps as they give you lap times sheets and such that tells you who was fastest and who was the overall winner going off consistancy

I'm there. So, that gets most of the usual folk out of the way, how about some irregulars?

And, for once, you can't complain about the weather!

I'm defo keen.

Would suggest going to Silhouette in Campbellfield tho. Much, much, much better karts.

It's going to be pricey where ever we go so we may as well make the most of it.

We can do a three stage GP for about $60 a head.

Not really Alex,
tends to come down to what you weigh.
Last time I went, the quickest was the smallest guy there, 54kg and 5'6 tall, haha
Silhouette in Campbellfield, I hear good things about, but was trying to get a 'central location' sort of thing happening, so the guys from the south/east dont have to travel a long way.

It'd be pretty funny to see you in a Go-Kart, Lurch.
