Hey dudes,

I know it's been quite a long time since I posted here, but I figured since I'm gunna be trying to clean out my garage full of old parts (S15 SR20, rust-free 1600 shell amongst other bits), that I'd drop a thread here to say that I'm coming home to visit! Feels strange needing to reintroduce myself here, but I used to administer the site back in the day, and was one of the founding members of the Thursday Pizza Night. At least until Dan took it over and killed it. You suck Dan. :) I have a Datsun 240z (http://ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6303) as well a 1600/SR20 project. In true Team Axle Stands style, all are broken.

In 2005 I moved to California chasing my gf (now wife). Dan(green510) and Waz and Andy (MY-510) and Rich (mad1600) and his missus have all come over to visit over the years and it's been great. Felt like time for me and my fam to come back home and see everyone and everything again.

So yeah, if yous are about in November, I'll be around, probably somewhere in the city, and will definitely be doing Thursday Night Pizza every week, and wandering down Acland to big mouth afterwards for some disgustingly delicious cake and lattes. Hope to see you guys around!

Dave

Welcome back Dave. I saw you owned a GT-R on another forum.

Hi dave,
Cant even get my username right!

Yep its been awhile since ive been on here, but thanks to that super bland email you sent a few of us, i had to log on hahah.

As for pizza, you just ditched us all and buggered off to the usa, someone had to take over :P
Its still happening, majority of the time with kiddies
(Not mine, im not that silly :woohoo: )

Thanks again for letting us visit, was much fun.

Im still skeptical that you will show up, we all know what youre organisation skills are like :P

See you in a few months

Love you too Dan. I knew you were greenSomethingSomething. Sorry. :D

Woot kids at pizza?! Excellent! Who goes typically?

Well if it's gunna cost me a lot of dosh to not show up at this point, sooo that's in favour of me showing up. :D

Camo,

Thanks man. Yeah I picked up an R35 about a year ago after failing entirely (see Dan's comment about organizational skills, also applies to projects) to finish my 280Z/VK56DE conversion. Pretty fun car!

Hey Boss,

Year is in my subject, it's a 1972. It doesn't have a spoonful of filler/bog in it. Brand new rear quarter panels on it with everything lined up and worked to be perfect by hand. All the body work was done by Nick: http://www.yelp.com/biz/bodyz-by-nick-ballarat Super nice guy and a real pro. Unfortunately it's not painted. I moved overseas and Nick needed the space in his shop. Bummer.

Yeah welcome back Dave. I have been missing the technical chatter that used to be quite frequent in the days you were around.
Any plans to move back to oz?

Do you still have the 240z/vk56?

Hayden

Hayden,

Thanks man. Sorry to hear the technical discussions might have dwindled. If it's of interest I'll crosspost my GTR build stuff in here, might simulate some discussions.

I sold the 280Z project. The car went to someone in Chicago, and the VK56 driveline actually ended up in an R31 in Sydney I think.. I think that bloke made more progress the first week of having it than I'd made in 2 years. Good on him!

Pickle,

Sure I like low-ball offers. Gives me something to wipe my arse with.

Srsly though, not too many bites on anything so far, so send offers my way!

Dave
