Anyway im thinking a "who are you, what do you drive, what cars you have owned, where are you located, what you do with yourself" etc would be good so here goes.

My name is Martin, im 25, located near Hornsby in NSW.

Currently finishing my 180bsss FJ20ET, I work as a network engineer / administrator, soon to be travelling round europe.

2. 1971 Datsun 1600 with L20 twin 45's - later converted it to Z18et
3. 180b sedan with Z18et (put the motor in the 1600)
4. 2 x Mini Clubmans (what was I thinking)
5. 1977 Datsun 200b 4 door GL with IRS
6. 1968 mint stocker 1600
7. 1985 R30 skyline
8. 1973 180bsss coupe fj20et (wrecked for parts)

Hey martin.

I'm Nathan, 22 and live in Penrith

My current car is:
1971 datsun 1600 sedan with a few mods and an L20B.

I work as an insurance claims consultant for IAG doing home insurance claims.

I cruise around the area in Penrith quite a lot, and I was on the last Datnet Novemberfest cruise to the gong and back. I should be at Datnats, however my 1600 might not make it as my rego is due on the 22nd of march .

Previous cars:
1990 r31 Skyline GXE sedan (converted to sillouette)
1981 c210 Skyline (failed project)
1989 r31 Skyline Sillouette (did an rb20det engine connversion)
1986 r31 Skyline GX (mods:filter/exhaust) - A friend now owns this car and has done an rb25det engine coversion with heaps of mods
1989 Holden Camira wagon (My first car).

Ive got a girlfriend of 2 1/2 years who I live with, she owns an r33 Skyline gts25t.

I too am in IT - system admin / network admin.

I bought my first 1600 a year or two before Nathan (previous post) was born

I've personally only ever owned 5 cars, besides whatever is the current "family car". The wife has always driven the family car, so I consider these her cars, not mine.

Mine were (in chronological order):

1971 1600
1970 1600
1976 corolla
1972 180B SSS
1987 Magna (current daily drive-to-work car)

The three datto's are still in the shed, with the 180B SSS being the current project. The corolla is the only car of mine that I've ever sold in 23 years of driving

My current dream is to get the 180B SSS going by the end of the year. My more realistic hope is that it will be up and running some time next year .

Hi i'm Rod, 24. Used to live in Melbourne but moved to Dee Why a year and a half ago. I'm in Tech Support.

I've only owned a few cars. First was a 1982 Bluebird. I modded the engine (twin Webers, etc) and drove that for a while before getting rid of it. I've also had a few company cars, a Ford Falcon, Toyota Camry and a Holden Commodore.
I currently have a 1600 (still in Melbourne) that i'm rebuilding. At the moment I have a 2002 Holden Astra, but i'll be selling that and possibly buying another Dato soon.

I'd love to catch up with someone here in Sydney, don't know any Dato owners and i'm suffering withdrawal symptoms from not having one to work on/drive/look at/whatever

2nd car, 83 VH comodore (hey it only cost me seriously $5, poliece evidence auctions rule!, just got round to getting it going this morning)
