i used to read ZOOM religiously, but Martin Donnon is an opinionated fucknut. stupid claims like "my 1JZGTE makes 240rwkw with the std CT12s" is horseshit - what dyno is he using? was it calibrated correctly? and after bagging out the 7MGTEs, he goes and buys one and raves about it. and that's just the start of it.
and all their RWkW figures are rounded up to the nearest 50.

i only read Street Machine, Australian Hot Rodders and Rodders Digest now. at least the articles are well written and not biased / contradictive.
and i learn some great engineering tips from them.
The bloke is a well known bullshitter who is now cheif salesman for willyall. He gets pwned on most forums he goes on to flog their stuff off because he uses bullshit as a sales line.

Zoom/Fast Fours/Hot 4s etc. Not really a fan. Martin Donnon was hilarious with his crazy comments, articles suggesting superchargers are crap (and now he's fitting them to commodores through Willal (willyall) and Harrop (Chrap-Pop) and all of the crazy engineering comments that were based on hilarious tests. "Find out how this pod filter performs after the factory OEM filter, when we don't let the car cool down before runs and don't measure the temperatures!" It's all a bit backyardish. Still you have to hand it to him for trying, which most others didn't.

I preferred "Tarmac". That was an awesome read, but it just didn't last. Even the advertisements were awesome!
I also really enjoy 'Race' magazine. It has a lot of technical stuff in it based on facts and engineering and people who win races and some good photos.

I used to read EVO (UK version) a lot. The articles and photography were great.

Street Machine and Unique Cars I'll buy/read if I'm on a local flight somewhere but that is about it.

Actually, yes EVO was a great read with excellent photography.
