Yes indeedy, the strut bodies have an arrow on them saying "UP WHEN OPEN" so the shaft faces down

Anyone installed Gas Bonnet Struts?

I've picked up a set like the ones the guy on ebay was selling but just looking for confirmation on where to drill.

I can work it out myself, but would be good to see how others have done them. They are for a 510.

Did anyone get a part number for the gas struts from somewhere?

The eBay ones have not been available for a long time now. I realise they are probably just generic ones.

I think if you go and talk with an industrial supply company they would help you with a selection someone like blackwoods. You will need some idea of the length of stroke where you plan to mount them and if you had the bonnet weight would also be good. Even do a google search for manufacturers/suppliers, I am sure you will find design info there.
