Hi, got my rubber kit from rare spares today and am unsure on how the rubber sits in the top channel of the door, the rubbers i got glue in most of the way around accept the top half of the door as you well know but cant seen to work out how it sits in that channel. Pics would be good if possible if you got these rubbers on your 1600 :) Cheers once again guys. Brett

Yeah I'm about to do this as well.

As for the windows themselves, can the glass part be seperated from the metal part. So the glass and metal part are not together anymore. I say this because there is rubber in the metal where it touches the glass is beyond repair. Is there a rubber kit for them as well?

Sorry for the mini thread hi jack.............

Just buy some rubber cut it down to size,
Measure and write down how far along the glass the holder sits.
Rubber mallet to tap the holder of glass, clean up and paint.
Add a little bit of glue and wedge it back together.
A bike or car tube may work as the rubber  this is what i use behind the eyebrow moulds.

On the subject of seperating and replacing window rubber between glass and winding mechanism
you need to go to a very good rubber store and buy the appropriate lenght and width of GREEN rubber
This is soaked in kerosen (i think , ask them) I did mine about 5 years ago and can't remember but still hold firm . The green rubber goes very slippery and plyable, then you force in as somebody stated above. When the green rubber dries it acts as seal and glue i reckon. Yes you have to put up with the smell of kerosen ?? for a few days and no Green rubber is not green. Its black and un-processed
