I'm going on my honeymoon on Thursday for 6 weeks and when I come back I think I want to save 1 to 2 grand for a decent 200b. So my question is when did the 200b go from the irs set up to the bloody borg waner live axle? I have 910 Bluebird at the moment and I would love a c210, but untill then then a 200b with an irs would be great!

Thanks in advance guys.

Nik

ive never seen a a 78 with it. And i have an january build 78.

IRS 200B's arent exactly eveywhere now and from what ive heard there isnt a great deal of point holding out for an IRS. If you can find any clean 200B for under 2 grand i would buy it. Most are pretty rusted out by now.

There are indeed pros and cons to both. But honestly, I wouldn't hold out for in IRS sedan. Having driven a live axle sedan to go and test drive an IRS sedan, and the getting back into my live axle sedan, I can honestly assure you that the difference is not noticeable.

I'm definately willing to agree with you that the Borgwarner diff is inherently rubbish though - I've lost count of the number of centres I've disintegrated with near standard engines.
