Hi all
I just bought a l20b turbo motor it has forged internals with a garret t04z turbo top mount It came with no carbie but they said it had a su, can anyone tell me what su carb would be best our any other options would be handy?????? or if anyone has a carb they want to sell that would suit its a suck thru set up...

hi I used a 45 delorto suck thu set up was great, 130rwk on 7 psi.problem I had was to get the top end power had to to use a modified ball type jet and it leaked fuel a low rpm.

Mine is running a stromberg 1.75 cd2. Found on alot of pomy cars, jags, range rovers etc heaps around and cheap as chips.

Not sure if mine is a stromberg or an SU - either way it's going eventually but I won't be selling it for a few months or more at the moment. Motor runs very well with it though.

That's an SU carburettor. It looks like a 2" one to me but it may be 1 3/4".

Curiously, it looks like your distributor is bolted in 180 degrees out. Normally the module is on the side away from the engine.

Is that a water injection fitting in the air cleaner lid?

I'm also looking for a running SU/Stromberg carby as mine is leaking fuel out the air intake. Also been thinking about lpg.

Yeah the engine is a bit special in some respects, it's why I'm curious to know the full story with it. I'm hoping to get it out of the car in the next couple of months if I can

And yes that is a water injection fitting, it's hooked up but I'm not certain that it's working correctly
