There was a thread here somewhere with people's 1/4 miles times. But I've been drinking most of the day and can't find it.
How many ponies will it take to squeeze a sub 12 from a 510? There are umpteen on line calculators, but I don't know what a CA powered 510 would weigh.
I have a ball park figure of how much air my engine is going to breath. And if that's not enough to go under 12's, then the spray will have to come into play.

My guess would be 350+ in a sedan
Im drinking now too, as the realisation sets in that im not getting to the nats.

good guess. i know of an fj 1600 cracking 11's with about that power but i think traction is the problem.

Have you tried using a Moroso speed calculator as a guide?
The online calc I use suggests between 275-300hp will get a 1000kg car down the quarter in 11's, traction and all that withstanding.

I pulled an 11.8 with 240rwkw. Tiny bit of wheelspin. I believe i could have got 11.5 with that car.
