Hi guys sorry if this has been asked before but just want a updated list of Rust repairers for Datsuns in Eastern Melbourne preferably. I've got a 1600 i'm looking at having repaired and not interested/dont have the time to do it myself. There is a substantial amount of rust, everywhere

The biggest headache with restorations will be in the bodywork, Most panel shops only interested in insurance work and even if they say yes, they will push your car to the back of the shop where it will sit for 6 months covered in dust. Do you have replacement panels already ???? Give Donburn Customs in Kilsyth a call 0401 366 950 .

Yeah not too many places want to hear you and if they do they want to charge an arm and a leg to do it.Hey I am an amature but seeing how some shops work I would not let them touch my datto.Hey I am pretty slow but it's my car and however long it takes I want to do a good job and do it once only.Good luck on your project. My 1600 is rough and is almost an all rust repair panel build. Not quite but it has lots of cancer.

What kind of rust are we talking?
Classic Auto Fabrications in Darnum (near Warragul) are a good place to start.
Lachy does a fair bit of rust repair work on a variety of makes/models.

What Nik said.

Send me some photos via my Facebook page or via this forum, & I'll give you an idea of costs, etc.
