I have a 1600 with a speedo that is in miles. I'm wondering what the odometer is? Is it the same as speedo or is it in kms?

Also does anyone know where I can get the sticker to put kms on the speedo?

If the speedo is in miles, then the odo would be in miles.
You used to be able to get a sticker kit that would go on the speedo, but unfortunately the Odo would still read in miles.
I'm not sure where the stickers are bought now? Someone on here may know?

Australia didn't convert to metric till around mid 70's, so pretty much anything prior to that would be in miles / pounds / gallons / feet / etc / etc (I was in primary school when the changeover was made).

With speeds, I always just used 40miles = 60 k's, 50 miles = 80 k's and 60 miles = 100 k's. Admittedly, not as easy nowadays with the plethora of speed limits in place (and the stricter enforcement of these limits....).

A really neat solution would be to get a kph speedo from Japan.

I have a KPH speedo somewhere, from memory it also has a trip meter which I'm led to believe came out in the wagons (trip meter that is).

I remember driving my 1600 before I changed over to the electronic VDO (1999) and doing the conversions while driving! Thanks for the memories Dave!
