Hey guys
Just got my hands on my very first 510 with a fj20 already fitted.
Want to give it a bit of a upgrade with a microtech and new coils, injectors etc..
What have people done with the old dizzy cap? Do they stay or does somebody make a blanking cap of some sorts?
Please bare with me as this is my first time down this track...i have years of experience with the later model nissans but have always wanted to own a clean 1600.
Cheers for your help.

Firstly, I would suggest that you get something better than a Microtech if you're going to this much effort. There are better options for close to or only slightly more than the cost of a new Microtech.

With the dizzy, when I was running my FJ20 I used the FJ20 dizzy body with E15 turbo Pulsar dizzy internals as a crank angle sensor. This was running a dizzy-controlled spark setup though. Do you have another solution for the crank angle sensor?

I gather you are going to a COP [Coil On Plug] setup?
I am doing the same using LS1 coils.
I have replaced the distributor cap with a stainless steel cap held down by the stock cap clips.
The source?
I bought a bunch of stainless steel measuring cups from a supermarket an one was an exact fit!
Trimmed off the long handle to make a small lip and pop riveted another lip 180 degrees away and voila :)

That is a brilliant idea with the measuring cups! Il look into that for sure.
As for the CAS i was lead to believe it was a simple "wire in" running the 4X ignitor that the microtech offers? I have emailed micrtech directly and they have assured me this is all i need.
Thanks for all your help,
