Thank you! but!!!!
Im sure these are not ca18de as the conrods are usually 133mm centre to centre not 165mm and block height is near 205.1mm from crank centre not 247mm????

could it be the Z or Ka engines pdf instead by mistake!??!! :(

I will recheck the PDF I have at work again tomorrow. But im certain it was titles ca18e, ca18de. And a total separate one for the det engines.

I recall there was another ca PDF too. So I'll check them against each other.

Stand by.

Thats the one NIssanman t hank you kindly some info Ive been trying to get for some time,
Im sure many will appreciate the most underrated engine by datsun/nissan peeps :)
133mm conrods, 205.75mm block height, main bearing ladder brace etc.

I think the Sanouske the figures you have could have been the ca20 but 245+mm block
height could only mean Z, Ka or FJ specs.

I would like to add the A series data if thats ok?
just means its gonna get more traffic
I did some research and added some A series stuff to the engine design utility.

Head CC and piston CC are guesses to achieve the standard CR of the engine, as that information was hard to find.

I'll have a look at adding the CA18 engine data soon.

Awesome Cam thank you so much the datsun1200.com peeps will be very happy!!

putting a link to that site with this update! thank you again!

just went over the A10 specs all good except 117.5mm c-c rods not 117.0

and CC of chambers the guys will fill you in from that site hopefully soon
The A15 has same engine height as A14, same rods just shorter 30mm
pistons and 82mm stroke with 29cc H89 head.

All very spot on though

I originally had 117.5 but it made the deck clearance different to the A12 and A14 of 0.1mm and put the compression up to 9:1

Also the FSM for the A10 states the tolerance for the rods length to be between 116.97mm to 117.3mm. So 117.5 must be wrong.

Using 117.0 gives the same deck clearance as the A12/14 and a CR of 8.5:1 which I what I've read is should be.

Wasn't trying to be mean, but have been told I can be quite tactless at times. :D

Cheers for that. I'll update the utility when I get some time.
