Anyone run one of these on an L6. Looking to stay with the single carb with this car. I have an L26, mild cam(733a clive), flat top pistons and extractors. Not going to put on su's or triples, just looking to upgrade the single. Any other carb suggestions? Thanks

Thanks, seems to more common on the L4's not so much on L6's.

I ran a 38 on my L16 with a cam . Was a bit overjetted.
But The guy I bought it from ran it on a FJ40 landcruiser 6 cyl but those are low rpm motors


Is there a single carb manifold for these ?

I have an earlyish 240k intake manifold when they where not joined to the exhaust manifold. This allows me to run extractors or the early dual exit exhaust manifold. I also have a 260c intake but haven't had a good look at that one, need to see if it's separate and how big the ports are.

4.0 falcon 250 cubes ran a 34adm carburetor and the Essex v6 in the Capri's ran 38/38's and have seen them on rb30's. If you're not looking for huge power they're great but unfortunately aren't progressive on the linkage so works like a "double pumper" can't believe I'm about to say this but also look into holley 350's. Theirs nothing wrong with Holley's but theirs nothing all that great in my opinion over rated and I'd take a weber any day over one.

I have read some comments about the 34adm and it maybe better suited to my size motor but I can get my hands on a 38 dges easier. I know its synchronous but it's not a daily so will be ok.

hi, i have the same question for the L20B, as i also have one that i would like to put on my bluebird

sorry yamahacam don't want to hijack your post just thought it better to add to this one than make a new one for the same thing

the 38 that i have was purchased for a Navara that was a 2.4ltr engine, but when i contacted weber they did not give me much info on the jetting

any information will be appreciated

I had an L24 240k with a Schneider cam, cheap headers and well setup 350 2bbl Holley
use to eat most cars and got good economy if I tried. Sounded and went the goods
had no problems going off the speedo when I found a good stretch of road

These are other options I considered a customised Rochester 350 as used on speedway
this guy modifies it to suit your fuel and needs for very cheap

I wouldn't be concerned on the 38 carb Being to big for your engine. I'm running twin 45's and they are choked to 32mm in their Venturis and that's on a road L18. Just make sure your jets match your engine and you should be good to go
