 Depends on what valve timing you are using and for what pupose the vehicle is used for. FWIW. 42 chokes 4.5 aux. F9 tubes 150 main 150 air 55F6 idles. This is a starting point and wont be too far off for a hot motor.ie 74 cams

 Sorry I forgot the linkages. IMHO You would be best off with the magard type linkage. Twin cables acting on a rocker arm mounted ontop of the carbs. Dont know where to get these at the mo. Dont get cheapies as the pivot pins wear quickly.

Hey from what ive heard and read over the last few years Ive only seen one type of 50mm weber... the racing ones, from mem they dont have (idle) curcuits, so cant really be used on anything that needs low-mid range drivability...
Has n-e1 heard the same?

im trying to sell a pair of 40DCOE32 webers at the moment and they would suit u well for driveability and will give ur FJ gobs of throat while being very driveable

they were on a '69 alfa gtv and on a side-draft manifold to suit

they have been recenty r/cnd. with new seals so they are almost as new

interested?

u think going from 44 solex's to 40DCOE WEBERS is downsizing?

hint:

twin 40DCOE's= 4 barrels, 4 venturies, 4 x 40 =160mm

twin solex 44's= 2 barrels, 2 primary venturies, 2 secondary venturies, 2x44=88mm

plus look at where the air has to travel in a solex, in and round and through where it gets split from 2 into 4 then into the engine, efficient?

look at the webers.... in and straight through the barrels into the engine
4 cylnders, 4 barrels, 4 valves, 4 fuel jets.
a setup this efficient works better than most others its size again

no comparison
