Alot.

I'm going to assume you are trying to find out what's the best, hence what you should buy?

Just buying the carbies won't give super/dooper/uber power gains. They have to be tuned for YOUR engine. Take this into acount when buying a set.
Once setup/ tuned properly, they all give pretty much the same result, performance wise.

Consider who's going to tune them for you, and ask them what tuning parts are the easiest to get. Then buy those ones.

My 2c.

Webers are the best - not for any perceived performance aspect but simply because you can get parts still, and even with webers some parts are still not availabe (try finding 48mm shafts - early style).

Dont know where u get bits for solex and delortoes

If you want weber's or end up buying them, go and see Iain Stewart at carb-tech (they are in Kippa-ring) . I just had my twin 45's done by him and they are great. He is a good guy, asks alot of questions about the car your driving style etc before he sets them up.

Rather than post an ad, go there and try and buy bits, THEY DONT KEEP PARTS IN STOCK. I have been there. Stewart Wilkins, Hornsby Carburettors and the redline agent have parts in stock and only for webers.

Well that is a good thing that it comes down to the setting up of the carb /ports power ect.

They'd better be brand new! And they'd better be the 'race' version.

OK, i've slighty miss lead you.

Webers came out in 'Universal Performance' variants, and also 'emission' types too. The emission types aren't ideal for racing, so the 'universal' type often goes under the name of 'Racing' version.

You can tell the difference by looking at how many progression holes there are. 2 or 3 holes means that it is a performance type carb. 4, 5 or 6 holes means it's an emission type.

The only difference in performance i can see, is the difference in performance from light throttle ot full throttle, or 'progression phase' as it is known. The carbies with 2 or 3 holes give a 'richer' progression phase, so when tuned for your engine, you get more 'go' when switching from light throttle to full throttle.

I'll see if i can find the codes... ATM i can only find Dellorto stuff.
