Hi guys,

Just wondering which head would be the best choice when building a hot L20?

Or can anyone recomnend a good place, somewhere between Canberra and Sydney, to get my L20 head worked? I'm looking for a shop that really knows how to get the L series motors moving.

Any advise will be greately appriciated.

You could use a A87 head for a high comp engine. I would have the block o-ringed though for fear of blowing the headgasket

Use a good quality Genuine Nissan head gasket and you should have no dramas. I wouldnt trust my worst enemies motor with an aftermarket L-gasket.

Yes I mean cheapo gaskets.
As these are the only aftermarket gaskets I have seen. (felpro etc)
I am unaware of anyone other than Nissan making a gasket that would be suitable for a "Hot L motor".

Mad1600 if you know of any aftermarket gaskets that are as good as a Genuine Nissan one can you please PM me with the details.
Spending $60-70 of a GN gasket bums me out. Thanks
