ok i have heard different things about turbo systems on A and L series motors.

So what does the term a blow through system mean?

For example if i wanted to set up a turbo on an a14 how would i set it up? what carbie/carbies? or can u use only one carb?

do A series cope with turbo systems?

Also a few more questions about 1200 utes conversions, do all A series just bolt in?

just trying to decide on a set up for my project so help would be much appreciated

cheers

in a blow through setup, the compressed air coming from the tubine goes through the carby and then into the engine. In a draw/suck through setup, the turbine sucks the air/fuel mixture through the carby, compresses it and then forces it into the engine. For more information on turbos, have a look at these:

they should get you started. Let us know what you think.

It all depends on what you want from it and how much you want to spend.

For a blow through set up something like a 32/36 weber would be ok (injected would be alot better but $$$$) or for draw through a side draught weber 40mm or 45mm or a decent SU.

Yes they do quite well if set up properly.

depending on what year the ute it is you may need spacer plates on the engine mount for an A14 or A15.
