I have a 180b SSS with an FJ20DE... It had the stock 180b Radiator with cross over pipes. I want to swap the ends over to do away with the cross over pipes as they are messy. The radiator is a bit old and I was planning on getting something a little better.. 200b perhaps???? ANyone got any suggestions???? Re-core the 180b one and get the ends swapped or look for something else???

cheers..

SCott..

Does it get hot at the moment?
If not i would just go for a recore and get the outlets changed.
If it does get hot maybe a stock DR30 radiator?

A 200B one will have the outlets in the same place.

You could also try measuring how much room you have and going to your local radiator palce and saying, ok i need a radiator ***x*** with the outlets on top left bottom right. They should be able to look through there parts books and find one for you.

No it doesn't get hot. I am aware that the 200b one will need the outlets changed. I suggested it as it is larger than the 180b one. The stock 180b radiator doesn't make use of all the of the air flow it gets. The core itself stops short on one side by about an inch. So something that will make use of all the area is more ideal.

Anyone with an FJ got info???

Oh, I'm deliberatly sourcing everything 2nd hand so I'm not prepared to go new at this stage. I realise this limits things but I'm doing the research as this is what it is all about... When I'm done I'll be posting pics and info of things I've done with almost 0 dollars for all to use for themselves.

Appreciate the comments thus far..

I run a N13 pulsar radiator with my SR20T/180B conversion.

Picked it up at the wreckers for $30 and it works a treat! The radiator is double core and it's very thin and long. I had to cut the radiator hole bigger to take advantage of it's larger size. It is also a 'crossflow' radiator, wich means the tanks are on the sides. Don't know what the advantages of this are!
