First thing to fail: possibly the timing gear from chain slap. If using standard crank apparently the harmonics which occur around 7500-8000 (it is a very specific RPM that it occurs at, but I don't know what it is) will pop the flywheel off the crank due to metal fagiue. There is an excellent read on this topic on the ATI superdamper website, and they just happen to make one for the L28.
P90 head is also closed chamber (despite its larger volume), hence has better squish characteristics. Or so I believe, never seen any proof nor have I worked it out so take that for what its worth.
