Hi
I am using 95 unleaded in a standard L20 engine as regular unleaded was causing the motor to ping under load. But with slow around town running it appears to me to foul the spark plugs and misfires especially in the cold weather when it has running on partial choke. It has been tuned recently Has anyone else experience similar problems?
Thanks

What plugs do you have in it?

Might want to run some BP5ES if most of your driving is around town.

At the moment it has Bosch WR7DCX plugs. I have owned this Bluebird for 24 years. I read somewhere that if you experiencing plug fouling it may be better to go one hotter on the spark plugs?

yep thats right, try some Bosch WR8DCX or NGK BP5ES, which is one grade hotter than what you have.

You might want to inspect the plugs first to see if they are actually fouling. Perhaps the "tuneup" wasnt exactly right.
