take old motor out, bolt new motor in.. it's literally that simple

if the L20 is from a Bluebird you'll need to put he L16 sump onto the L20 motor as the oil pan sits in a different spot to clear the crossmember

as I found out with my 180b when I put a L20 in it, the exhaust manifold won't join to your exhaust pipe as well as it used to - massive exhaust leak that no amount of RTV silicone could fix (answer: extractors!)

Might also need to muck around a bit with the throttle linkage. The bracket on the firewall behind the carbie needs to be raised up about 20mm.

When swapping sumps, you should also swap the oil pickup in the sump.

You may also find the dipstick is in the wrong place with the new sump.
