just a quick question, should i be worried if i can hear the tappets in my L20b, it is quiet a loud tapping,
what can cause them to get lose..?
i heard that when they become lose then it is nearly impossiable to ever fix the problem.
any help much appreciated.

you can always hear the tappets in a L engine. if its very loud though and if you know what your doing get the rocker cover off and stick some feeler guages in there!

cant remember the gaps of the top of my head though.

unless the thread is stuffed then you would be able to tighten them up, if they are loose.

It's actually a really easy job to do.
