Hi Guys,

I'm currently rebuilding an L20 to replace the L18 in my 180b and I just wanted to know if I need a different flex plate to bolt the L20 to the 180b's auto tranny?

Also, is it worth putting a 32/36 weber on the L20b? Bear in mind that I want to keep the auto (yeah, sad, I know) and that I'm planning to do large mileage. For this reason I don't want to do a cam regrind or chuck on twin 45 webers. I just want a drivable motor that won't mess with the auto's stall converter.

Cheers

L20 and L18 have different cranks - L18 has 5 bolts holding flywheel / flexplate on, L20 has 6. So you will need an L20 flexplate.

L18 / 180B flexplate physically won't bolt onto an L20 engine.

Thanks, Dave. I had a feeling that was the case. Best go find myself a 6 bolt flex plate.
