Hi
I am looking at using the Tempe tyre 15inch Simmons b45s on my car. I'm just wondering if anyone has had experience with a custom offset, what is the widest rim with tyre you can run on the rear of a Datsun 1600 with standard wheel arch and no flaring.
I'm also running r31 disk brake conversion. any information would be appreciate
Tim

There have been a fair few who have asked this question previously:
I found them using the search function:
http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... re+on+1600
http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... +rear+1600
http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... +rear+1600

etc.
Search and you shal find!

Tim,
I have 17x8 +28 on the rear of my 1600. They just fit with standard arms and rolled guards,R31 brakes, low height with about 2 degrees neg camber from an adjustable rear crossmember.
Your camber adjustment will have some effect as to what the ideal offset is.
I would definitely recommend measuring - especially if you're buying Simmons as they will give you whatever offset you ask for.
