I've got my H190 LSD apart here and I'm thinking about what plates etc to put in it to set it up.
Now there are a few breakaway torque setups in the manual I have and I'm considering which one to use.
Now to do that I want to compare it to what I've had in other cars I've owned.
I'm having trouble finding the OEM breakway torque settings of some other Nissan diffs I've had.
Namely R31 GT Passage R200 2 way.
R32 GTR non vspec 2 way. 3kgm standard maybe?
These are the two OEM Nissan diffs I've had before. I thought the R31 diff was pretty good and i thought the GTR diff was pretty good too. For street driving they were both pretty quiet and on the track they both locked up nicely although in really slippery conditions the GTR diff sometimes didn't lock (i guess not enough torque differential when it was super wet?).
My options with the H190 are 3kgm breakway and 7.5kgm (i can do 3kgm with the plates i have, i need to spend a few hundred on new belville washer shaped plates to do the 7.5kgm setup, nissan still sell those parts...for a price).
This is going in my current s12 which I'd like to think of as a 90% street car 10% track car but actually it's unlikely to see the track anytime soon.
Basically I'm leaning towards the 3kgm option but i need some convincing by comparing it to the other diffs haha.

I've ended up ordering the extra plates i need to build mine up to 7.5kg. I won't be able to complain about it being too loose then probably haha.
