Hi guys,

Some searching brings up that the early 180b steering box is exchangeable for the late 1600 one with the collapsible column eg:

http://www.ozdat.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... +box#p9538

Is the 180b pitman arm the same as the 1600 or do you have to swap it over - couldnt find a confirmation nor denial when searching. Baz probably knows off the top of his head :)

Thanks guys

Alright I would like some opinions on the pitman arm because I'm having to replace mine should I go ahead and buy an upgrade/more expensive one or just buy the oem replacement?

Pitman arms are the same on both steering boxes.

how do you know when your steer box is worn outside of adjustment? excess free play in steer wheel? is there a factory measurement to go off?

whats the correct way to adjust box?
