Basically, im new to datsuns, i have an r32 quite nicely setup, but just picked up a 1600 as a project car.

but i want to drop my 1600, very low, and stiffen it up, would like to run coilovers if possible, for height adjust
so would like to know my options, how much do these options cost?

Is there a type of coilover i can pick up second hand like S13 ones ? and adapt to the 1600

Cheers
Darrell

Well done on picking up a 1600!
The first place to look would be Datsport and Mad Dat who both offer excellent suspension options varying from Coilover sleeves and components to full setups.
There's a few US companies like T3 and ground Control that you could check out. And the HSD DIY Coilover kits are getting popular too.
Search this site and you'll find a heap of options / opinions too.
No straight answer I'm afraid, but expect to pay $700 for basic Coilover kit and shocks (front) - 2kish for fully built option. And I guess 1k for a Coilover rear, $600 for lowered springs and adjustable shocks.
Very rough figures, but a vague summary to get you started.

For the rear coil over setup try Troy Ermish in the States or Techno Toy Tuning. Or as mentioned above Ground Control.

I am looking into this at the moment. No one in Australia I have found make a coil over setup for the rear.

bit of an update, im looking into the ground control stuff, basically, i wanna get a decent set of 4 pot calipers up the front like r32 discs/calipers or something similar, is this going to be suitable, and how do i go about the brake upgrade? should i change struts?

looking at these for the rear, questions are, how do i change my camber, ive picked up some aggressive offset rims, so i need to run a bit of negative camber on the rear to get them in

To change your rear camber, just lower it

You'll introduce changes to toe by doing this however - your best bet is an adjustable rear end. This is done by slotting or otherwise providing adjustment in the mounts where the trailing arms attach o the x-member (usually one pivot point for each arm is slotted for up-down movement, the other for forward-backward movement).

See Datsport's website for details, you can even buy a DIY kit.
