Hi guys,

Does anyone know of a company that manufactures custom strut braces :?:
I'm after a strut brace to fit to my 1600 with an FJ20,

Cheers

Hey mate, username nismo4 has a whiteline strut brace on his FJ 1600, maybe shoot him a pm. He told me he just had to reverse it to fit, but I noticed he has the slimmer rocker cover, not sure if that makes a difference.

Hi,

I have a "WHITELINE" strut brace on my Datsun 1600. Check out the pic below.

So is that the S12 "short runner" manifold, with the brace mounted backwards so it doesn't foul on anything? My manifold (DR30) seems to sit alot higher than that but I guess it all comes down to the fitting kit

Can you close the bonnet with the stocker bonnet support in place,I can see it in the background of the pic so I'd assume the rod just clears the brace?

Always thought that FJ in a 1600 meant no strut brace was possible as per urban legend but then the internet is full of truths

If I'm not asking too much would be great to get a pic of the height of the bar straight on aka looking from the front of the car to the windscreen (then I could use the location against the bonnet catch as a reference point, hard to tell if it sits as high as the wound spring and in relation to the bolts on the wiper motor)
