My advice is to keep an eye out for used ECUs on ebay and such.
There is a constant stream of used ECUs happening.
Unless they have been physically knocked about, these boxes don't wear out and are still good to go.
I recently pickup up a Haltech E6S-8, loom and laptop for a song.
It is a discontinued ECU but Haltech still provides downloads and such for their old products.
Unless you want traction control/launch control and all the bells and whistles, that generation of ECU is more than adequate for a street car.
There is an E11V2 on ebay ATM which is a damn good unit.

the specs look ok:

One thing i can see straight away is the map resolution (16x16 load sites) is half that of say the Haltech Sport 1000 (32x32).
This sort of thing becomes important if you are using large injectors on a small motor etc and need fine tuning of part throttle.

Ive got the Halttech 1000 on my L20B with 4x LS1 coils.

lt10c isnt anything special its just a lt10s with canbus , MT ecu's simply lack functions and no scalabilty and are very dated tech vs whats out there today for similar $$$.

Haltech Sprint 500 for $1000 with loom is unbeatable. Couple that with 4x LS1 Coils and its good for plenty of power.

You will save money on tuning time as well. Most dynos are $150+ per hour.

It is a modern, current product and has all the things an old car like a datto needs.
