Hey Ozdat Members,

I want to upgrade the sealed beam globes in my 1600 if possible. One of my low beams has just blown and I don't have anymore spares. Is there an upgrade globe available that will fit in the standard cups? If not where can I get standard replacements these days?

Thanks,
Blayne

Sealed beam units are still available but I suggest you convert to H4 headlights.
These have a replaceable Halogen globe.
There is a plethora of globes to suit.
For example see: -

Thanks for the reply. If I were to use H4 globes what glass housing do I fit them into? The standard ones are all sealed up so I don't think I can use them.

Thanks,
Blayne

We have some old school all glass sealed beams with hologen globes.
No need to rewire or fit relays to convert to metal frames.

We managed to get a few more sets. These are definately the last.

Hey Baz,

Long time since I spoke to you last. I've just created a new name on here because I couldn't access my old one, probably 5 years ago or more.

Anyway, the globes you have look like exactly what I'm after. Do you have a full set available? (2 x low beam & 2 x high beam) If you do I'll take them.

Thanks,
Blayne

The halogen all glass are for HI beam only.

If you do not want to rewire & fit relays you cannot fit halogen Hi Low beams.

We can supply these to match the all glass halogens & retain the old school look.

The 3 blade globe (LH in attached photo) was the low beam on the outside of the car. The 2 blade (RH in photo) was the high beam on the inside. Is it possible to just get 4 standard replacements 2 x low beam (3 blade) & 2 x high beam (2 blade)? After thinking about it I'd rather just replace all 4 of them with new standard globes.

Thanks,
Blayne

This one is the std replacement for the outer, just plug it in.
http://www.datsport.com/electrical-ligh ... L5337.html 3 pin.

The all glass halogen is a direct replacement for the inner hi beam 2 pin.

So they are both standard replacement, just plug em in.

Ok thanks BAZ. I'll order off the Datsport site.

You wouldn't happen to have a pair of standard 180b (7/8"?) brake master cylinder reservoirs & caps laying around would you? If you have a pair can you let me know what you want for them and I'll send the extra cash when I order the headlight globes.

Thanks,
Blayne
