Hi I have just bought the car and it has to go to regency in Adelaide. Now I just want to make sure I don't have any problems with it. It has upgraded h4 globes in it Nd little bit of rewiring for them but the issue is that when only the parkers are supposed to be on the headlights come on as well I have had a look at the Parker light wiring and looks like it hasn't been touched so I was wondering if someone can point me into the right direction of where to look before I go pulling the dash apart to check the light knob or if it is in the rewiring of the headlights thanks

1 when the park lights are on will the lights go out when you pull the dipper switch into high beam position?

unplug 3 headlamps, check that the unplugged one is on.
remove that head lamp and make sure it is NOT touching the body if it is not on
touch it against the body & see if it comes on again.

The headlights are on even when they are not touching the body. The parkers stay on when all the headlights are unplugged. Maybe the switch is wired wrong?

Might just be the way its wired.
You may have to trace the new headlight wiring back and see exactly what cable it has been spliced into...

Check all the original headlight fuses thoroughly. In a 1600 all the lights would come half on when there was a fault, easily enough voltage to trigger a normal relay and turn on all your rewired lights.
