I'm Wiring in a used common internal reg bosch alternator(from stanza) to my 1600.
I have a B+ terminal a D+ terminal. And another + small terminal.

I have hooked up the main wire to the B+ and the lamp light wire to D+ terminal.
But the dash charge light won't come on when the ignition in turned on and the alternator won't charge when I actually start the engine and have it running, But if I touch power to the D+ terminal, the alternator will kick in and start to charge.

What am I missing??

Done a bit of digging around and the charge light needs a constant power to one side of it the other side goes to the alternator. And when the alternator isn't spinning it provides and earth and the light comes on.
So I obviously have no constant power to my dash charge light, so I'll check that tonight.
