Hi,
Just wondering if anyone on here makes, or knows someone who does, make new engine looms for conversions?

Jay

Have a look online at Wiring Specialities in the USA. I bought a harness off them for my CA18DET, very good quality and great service
price was great, just a months lead time to manufacture

Yes I emailed yury from wiring specialties and they can.supply the one to suit a det. But not the de. Does anyone know what would be required to make that loom suit?

I believe they have a different ecu plug, so whilst it could be done by changing ecu plug, there would be some stuffing around. Have you considered using an SR20de engine setup as an alternative?

Heap more spares available, ca18's are that old now that you may end up chasing constant problems due to old standard hardware unless you move to an aftermarket ecu. Alternatively a webered one would be cool.

Yeah I have, but the car came with The ca
already in it and running. I've just got the motor out to fit the cage, and thought I'd replace the loom while I was going.

There's nothing really wrong with what I have, was just chasing an easy replacement. I want to have the car out for one event before the end of the year.

Cheers for the help

I've got a 1600 and a ca18det. The car is currently getting rebuilt and the engine (out of an s13) I'll rebuild. Question I've got (before I go painting the firewall and putting the dash back in) is. What's involved in running the harness through the same holes in the firewall (other than extending it to reach the ECU) ?
