Hi guys, im in the process of making a spacer and modifying the dizzy shaft on my L20b Turbo EFI project similar to zac510s setup he did here.

I intend to use the CA18 Cam Angle Sensor and do away with the distributor, so i can run sequential fuel and ignition capabilities. What im unsure about is does the disc inside the sensor have to be flipped 180 degrees to account for the cam running opposite direction on the L20b? I seem to remember reading that elsewhere. Whats confused me is that in the article linked above, he says an unmodified sensor could be dropped in at anytime if there was ever a problem. I have the sensor pulled apart which was quite the job so any answers would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

I have a CA18 loom so was hoping to keep it with the ca sensor i have bought. Might have to find someone switched on at a tuning place who will be able to tune with Wolf too. Is there a link to your photo and any other info? Trying to determine if it matters which way sensor runs as there are 4 cut outs at 90 degrees from small to large. Or changing theoretical order of firing by changing wiring to suit what the computer is seeing.

From memory the ca18 disc does need to be flipped when put on an L series distributor base. Dan (http://www.ozdat.com/forum/memberlist.p ... file&u=226) did the conversion on a guys Z18 in NZ, ca18det ecu with nistune etc etc using a ca18 cas on a 6 cylinder L series base installed on a Z18.

I used to have an article writeup on my old site but it got lost when the web hoster went down.

Ive been in the process of doing this over the last few years, The easiest thing ive got to work while bench testing was a L20A or L20ET L28ET etc Optical dizzy then fit the CA18 CAS disc in place of the 6cyl disc, Upside down of course,

I use a Nissan Exa E15 CAS/dizzy in my L20B. Just had to mill down the height of the stock L-series dizzy mount a couple mm for it to engage with the spindle drive. Runs full sequential...
