Howdy!
Anyone put LED Headlight globes into their 180b, 200b, Stanza etc??
I have replaced the Hi/Lo in my 180b with LEDS but now all the lights are doing their own thing...
won't change from Hi to Lo beam...
LEDs working but the High beam halogens aren't...not happy!
When I unplug the Halogens the LEDS work fine and change from hi to lo no drama
Tested the Halogens by themselves...no problem.
When they are all plugged in it goes all crazy...
The LED are't very high powered...70watts in Hi mode.

Am awaiting arrival of Canbus adapters to see if that fixes the issue and maybe they need resistors??

Any help appreciated!
Cheers

CANBUS on a Datsun? definitely a waste of money But some resisters might help

In case you're still battling this: The lighting circuit (assuming it's original) isolates the headlamps via the lighting relay, and the relay switches the earth side. LEDs will have lower current draw than halogens and as they're diodes, current only flows one way.

So: I would check the earth wire at the lighting relay (check if it's corroded and gone high resistance), the earth at the lighting relay, then I would check the relay itself. Looking at the circuit diagram, you could test (and isolate) the relay by connecting the low beam or the high beam wire directly to ground. If

The second circuit diagram here might get of value: http://ozdat.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12433

Thanks you.

I have them all working...all the connectors were dirty or corroded...once cleaned they are all working now....

Have a Stanza to do the same thing to...clean all connectors first!
