Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience in purchasing a previously ACT engineered Datto and transferring it into your name.

I am aware an interstate vehicle requires inspection by Dickson RTA, but can an ACT engineered and registered vehicle just be inspected at an AIS?

Thanks

Dave

In my experience and last time I rang an authorised inspection station, any vehicle that has an engineer's report has to go through Dickson.

Ring Dickson and confirm but I'm 99% sure the above is true...

Yeah thanks mate.

I called them and seems to still be the case. They said if you want to check it you should take any vehicle back to an engineer for compliance.

Circles and roundabouts really. It can be russian roulette everytime you drive over those pits at Dickson.

I remember back in the day it used to take me about 3 days to get the RX4 back in a condition that would be acceptable for the annual roadworthy test.

I took my RB30 180B over Dickson this morning and it was no where near as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

Pleasantly suprised with the friendly staff, it was first up in the morning so maybe they get grumpier as the day goes on lol, know I do!
