Here's a picture of a 1979 Datsun Sunny GL my girlfriend just bought. Stock as a rock bar the springs and wheels, original interior, with an A12 and auto. It's slow as hell but so much fun to drive! It only has very minor rust and it's a little rough around the edges but shouldn't cost too much to get back on the road.

Thanks gents. Trav, I don't know if you're referring to the car or girl but both have their uses. Mik, since we ended up getting the car within budget it looks like the wheels will stay :) although there is a lot more room under the rear guard. Could easily get an 8" or even a 9" wide wheel under there in the right offset.

Haven't had a chance to look over it for roadworthy items but here's a few more picture anyway:

Only bit of rust worth mentioning:

My old stanza...rusted away...no garage.
Shame cause it steered like a go cart and went OK.
