Since not much attention is paid to these cars out here (probably because they were never as popular as the four-cylinder Datsuns we all love) I thought that we should definately have a thread for uploading photos of these. If possible, put down what type of car it is, for other people's reference.

So here's my starting contribution:

A 240C coupe'
[ img ]

Apparently this is a 220C, but I'm not certain there was ever a model called that
[ img ]

Now these are all 260Cs

280C

And lastly, 300C! That's right, Chrysler copied Datsun!

So bring some pictures and/or comments on everyone!

Id kill for a 260c coupe built up like the silver JDM spec 4 door you've got at the bottom.

A little info about Cedrics:

The first of the 6 cylinder Cedrics was the 130 series. Nissan had Italian design studio Pininfarina design the car. Released in 1966, the were produced in various revisions till 1971. Engine sizes going from a 2 litre pushrod engine to the L24 in 1971. They were sold as the Datsun Super Six & Personal Six in Australia.

In late 1971 the 230 was released. Sold as the 240C in Aus, till around 73, when the engine size was increased to 2.6 liters and they were badged as 260C, but still the 230 chassis. (There was a 220C in Japan, it was a diesel engined version. There were also 4 cylinder versions too according to wikipedia).

in 1975 the 330 series came along and lasted till 1979. I believe these also started as 260C's then later the L28 was dropped in and they were called the 280C.

Some nice information there, Mr Camouflage. Any idea what the 300C had powering it? I don't beliueve there was ever an L30 (unless stroked) but I've heard rumours of a V6...

And Riley, this is the only picture I have of a 260C coupe':

There's a 260C sedan and a 260C coupe' at two of my most visited wrecking yards. Both are definately repairable. If I didn't have so much on already I would definately consider the wagon.

Actually Chrysler have had the Chrysler 300 for some time.
They put the "C" at the end not to copy Datsun... in fact quite the opposite... In Chryslers case the "C" is let us know it is the Crap model.

NOTE: this no way reflects on the original Chrysler 300C which was the 1957 CHrysler 300.
