Well my first step was to find a bluebird that someone had spent a fortune on which would give me a good base

I purchases a s1 Bluey TRX with a fj20 fitted .... fitted is a loose explanation as as soon as i got it i realized it wasn't engineered but butchered

here's the her in her glory

Well wasn't long before it all started
the motor was pulled and refitted , the suspension was all welded as it was ripped out

After seeing one of the pictures just before the stickers were applied I've decided that Bluebirdds really can be nice looking cars. All though it looks really good as a race car too!

Good luck repairing that front damage

Looks very nice !!

Whereabouts did you find the flares and spoiler ? How close is it to the old Group C kit ? No rear spoiler available to suit ?

Sorry for the questions, one of my (many  ) long term plans is to build a Group C replica. Got the Z18 motor and gearbox, just need everything else

the original group c spoiler was a cut down group c commodore spoiler ..
the body kit is based from alfa motorsport kit but has been modified

i would have built a z18 but the fj is a great motor for a track car so i went with that
all th ework has been done in my backyard includeing the mdifying and fitting all the kit

one thisng ot remeber that when u cut the guards all the inner and outer guards need to be welded back together , a huge job with a stick welder :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

All you need now for the group C rep is the infamous holinger dog shift conversion. If only there were someone that worked for holinger on this forum? 8)

Brain fade ... i purchased some 8mm wheel spacers and ran them on std wheel studs

there was just not enough thread and the wheel nuts just pulled out

I WILL NEVER RUN NON BOLT ON SPACERS :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:

I have a couple of these bonnet vents if you want them. They are off a 280zx. Can cut the whole sections out of the bonnet and post if you prefer.

I wanted to do this to my fj20 bluebird, but just the stickers.

Are you game enough to estimate how much this build has cost you? And perhaps share it with us after your heart bypass?
