still going slow,
I have moved house again.now i finally have a shed to work on it.

I have pulled the front end back out to clean/rebuild.
3 front crossmembers later i finally found 1 thats ok.Its now painted black with the lca's ready to go back in.

I have grabbed a set of 200b struts out of 1 of my wrecks along with the brake booster.
struts are now painted up ready for the new inserts and i gotta get the rotors machined.havent loked at the callipers yet, think they may be siezed :(

some more pictures soon

I have now fitted a 200b big can booster.alot of fiddling was done to make it fit.just picked up the calliper rebuild kits and got the rotors machined too :)

starting to pick the momentum up now, hopefully it should be close 2 down by the end of the year

Front end finnished except for sway bar which im trying to find a suitable gold colour to paint it in aswell for the rear sway n for the mags.

goin to take the motor in today to be acid bathed and get the crank machined, maybe micro polished if it doesnt set me back to much.
thinking about upping the compression slightly. we were running a 3mm (approx) deco plate with dished cast pistons.
Has been 8 years since running this setup, from memory it was a tad too laggy of boost .
Can i get some people's thoughts on which way they would go?

Cast flat tops or get a skinnier deco plate?

I will be using a s15 bb turbo if i can find 1 to replace the current snail and i plan to be using about 15 pounds of boost as it was before. carby is a 1.75cd strongberg.
Another quik question, what oil pump's are people using on there boosted L series?

o.k after a closer inspection of my turbo l20b has revealed some bad news.
1 conrod is flogged in its big end and the piston has split its ring land off just between top n bottom rings :|
I found a piece of timing chain guide in the under side of a piston and more melted in a couple, now i know why she spun the big end .the 3mm copper deco plate must of been putting too much tension on the guides and stripped em...

Now i dont know which way to go.Dont really have the cash to replace pistons on top of every thing else i need.
I have another turbo l20b that looks like its only been rebuilt not long ago,but want to leave it in my rally car.
i didnt want to spend too much as a suck through turbo setup is really just a hand grenade, just wanted to machine crank, deck block for better c/r and new bearings rings and gaskets aswell as a bb turbo
decisions decisions :impatient:
