It's sits there when your speedo reads 100km/h. I swear you must have a longer ratio diff though, I'm pretty sure the top gear on the manual and auto are the same. Mine sat at around 3,500 at 100 with a four-speed and 3,000ish at 100 with a 5-speed. It's not that much of a difference but you do notice it a lot.

At 100 it's ok but since most of my longer trips are on the F3 i'm usually doing more like 115-120km/h or so where it's starting to get a bit noisy.
I thought it was revving harder (I have no tacho in mine), but the L isn't the quietest engine either is it haha.
The Datto has done plenty of hour long drives to places that don't involve the F3 though, and if I've got the Silvia off the road it does freeway drives as well :).

Glad you like the car either way :).

I raised the exhaust last week, cut the front part of the exhaust down and put an S bend in it to raise the rest of the system up.

Interesting where you mounted your chin spoiler. I just mounted mine on my 200B SSS last week higher than yours. Mine sits just below the holes in the front apron before it kicks under here your is mounted. Definately not as vertical as yours. Still on the stands so its hard to compare the two properly. Yours looks good though.

I mounted mine so the top edge of the lip is in line with where the apron is folded back under the car. I'm pretty pleased with how mine looks, just have to be a bit more carefull parking and going into driveways now haha (although i'm used to that...the Silvia is usually much lower haha)

Got a pic of yours?

No pics yet. Still on the stands as I'm currently fitting rear disks. Will take some when its dropped back down though.

Still havn't put my 5 speed in yet, i keep ending up spending all my money on other crap. The Silvia's gearbox just died (well wore out really) so I've had to spend time and money getting another box and swapping that in.

My plan for the 200B from now (after recently looking into more power and stuff, had another thread about it) is:
5 speed (got it)
New clutch and lightened flywheel when i put the 5 speed in (not got em)
Shorter diff ratio in an LSD (I think STi R180 or better)
More power as needed/wanted (I already bought ZX7R CV carbs, 39mm barrels, four barrels)

In the meantime i washed it properly...woo!

Looks pretty cool mate. Get that bonnet off and give it a good clean.

I've had a go at it, it's actually dealer applied rust proofing that's all over the underside of the bonnet.
They didn't get it into any of the gaps on the bonnet though so on the topside of the bonnet you have rust holes haha.
It's the worst part of the car for sure.

But i'm not very motivated to do anything about it until it comes time to fix the minor rust that the car has an we respray the whole thing.
