WOW what a great looking original 1600! Not necessarily a bad thing to do the conversion.. but to then use it for a fang car would be a shame. I'm sure you won't do that though.

After engine bay and front apron were painted, also had the battery tray deleted along with other random holes, also bein stitch welded and seam sealed.

These next pictures are of the most current work on the car, yesterday i had brett from motorsport connections come out and run the hard brake lines, he will be back next week to run my fuel lines and setup the surge tank and pumps.

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd4 ... 090278.jpg

I used most of the factory rear line

http://i1221.photobucket.com/albums/dd4 ... 090280.jpg

And had the front lines ran behind the firewall

She looks the goods mate. Can i suggest that you do some strengthening of the Top rails if you're planning on running the SR. I did some around seat mounts and rear strut towers as well as top rails and thicker sills. But you could add some strengthening sections in where you haven't painted yet and would make a big difference for engineers and the overall rigidity of the car.

Yeah. that'll add a bit of rigidity. I didn't bother with seam welding for a road car. I was thinking more like this

bit of an update, the motor is now in and have started putting everytihng together, radiator and intercooler are in, i sent the rear end to datsport the other day and ordered the rest of the stuff i need, i also picked up a r200 longnose lsd 4.4 ratio, picking up a stewart wilkins surge tank and tailshaft tommorow, just have to do my fuel lines and wiring then wait for the rear end and shafts then the exauhst . im hoping to have the car ready for engineering in 3-4 weeks so fingers crossed.

selecting the box under the one you clicked to get this link will give you the full link so you can upload each pic to the post just like this.

or add [ img ] to the end of the link with no spacing to post the pic directly in the thread.
