Big haul on the Datto over the holidays!

Motor and Box are in
Tailshaft in
Clutch line run and clutch bled
Fuel system complete (carter lift, SWR surge with Bosch 070 pump) old school setup but works well
Remote oil filter setup mounted up
Motor loom plugged in, mounted and plugged through firewall
Extractors modified to clear idler
Started wiring up, motor cranks injectors pulse but no spark

Thanks to Travis BAD510 for doing a heap of work on it with me and to Ross RJB510 for helping try to figure out the no spark situation

Can't find anything wrong wiring wise so will be swapping in another ECU tomorro, hope I get spark then!

Cheers

Next stop after getting it alive is to mod the radiator, start fabbing the exhaust, finish the under dash wiring and get it tuned!

looking awesome! I can see why you got rid of the red. post a dyno sheet if you can I would love to see how it tunes compared to the stock ecu.

what exhaust/muffler are you going with?

Thanks MangaNOID, will definately post the results!

Planning to go the autech extractors, into 2.5" mandrel stainless system, with decent length mufflers so it's not too loud

In other news it runs and now I need to:

1. stop being lazy
2. get exhaust done
3. make intake setup
4. refit modded radiator
5. finish under dash wiring properly
6. refit dash
7. Nistune and dyno :-)

Some awesome work there with the engine bay. Very envious of the hidden wiring, the cleanliness and the overall 'bling'.
Was it easy to re-route the wiring? Any party tricks you can share?

Thanks mate!

The smoothing of the bay and hiding the loom was done already by Travis, I can't take the credit for that!

But I've hidden looms on other Dattos before and it's pretty easy, basically run the loom out the inner guard and around the front of the rad support rather than through the bay.

Carefully Mark, cut and extend all necessary wires to be long enough to go the new way around and relocate fuse box etc inside the cab

I used a wiring specialties brand loom from the states for the SR motor which went in very nice and neat

Now just need to get the finger out and finish this all!

Cheers

Matt

Coming along nicely Matt. It's looking very clean so far and you haven't even finished!
