Sorry Alistair but no progress. The old girl is been uncharacteristically annoying. I need to change the ignition barrel and I'm hoping the nasty knock on idle is the cracked alternator housing.
In better news I received my SSS dash from Green200B. So I'll add that to the SX grille in the someday pile.

So when's it getting lowered? And is the weber now ok? Had issues before.
Sorry Mik missed you question. How rude of me. Weber is perfect now. A good tune and rejetting helped and smaller Venturis.

Have you got some updates for us Callan? This seems to be about the most active 200B build on here currently.

I certainly like this 200B. I think the colour is very nice. What are those wheels on it?

Does the weber cause it to use more fuel? I would not mind a Weber but fuel consumption is important to me

Actually there has been some progress Alistair. As you know we fitted a new alternator. I replaced the ignition barrel and properly plumbed in the pollution gear for the weber. Then I used the Datsun as a daily for a few weeks while my daily was out of action.

Thanks DaTerry the colour grew on me over the last 12 years. The wheels are just widend standard wheels. Fuel consumption is not as good as standard form but well worth it for the gained performance. I'm very happy with the Weber runs perfectly.

Oh not sure the Webber is for me in that case. I really like to keep my car economical.

Are you intending to daily a 200B Daterry? Otherwise its no huge loss of economy really.

Good to hear that you are staying motivated with this :)

I'm actually very motivated on this at the moment Alistair. Mostly thanks to you and your RX-2 and me lending you my main distraction. Gave the 200B a wash at work last night. I've finally got a good garage so I'm thinking a bit of a tidy up and a few mods are on the horizon.

Is that a manual conversion I hear you suggesting?

I'm glad I could be of assistance :)
