Nice build. Definitely going a lot quicker than I am. I'm about to start a thread. Great work on the panels. Am about to buy a mig welder also, kinda starting to sketch out a lil bit lol. Keep up the good work and the posts

I saved this bit to last to make sure it sculpted around the corner nice.
Just tacked that little chunk in, filled in the cracks and presto.

Love the work so far, gives me hope to be able to do these kind of repairs myself as well!

Update.

Hmm what have i doen the last 4 months.. i need to update this more regulary, otherwise theres too much going on an I have to look through photos to remember what i've done,

I made a rear tower brace:

I made my 'triangle' on a bit of an angle (doesn't point vertical), mainly because my parcel shelf is a bit hacked from prev owner, and also because the RHS slotted nicely in the grove.
Overall the welding of it I found pretty challenging, some area's were hard to reach.

I made my own gearbox tunnel cover, I contemplated buying the Datsport one, which looks great and reasonably priced.
But thought I'd give it a crack, mine is no where near the quality and took a couple Saturdays to do lol

I made a template, didn't measure or anything, just jabbed a whole through and moulded to what fealt right.

The wire brush is emulating the handbrake 8)

I then traced it out on the metal and began cutting, bending ect

And got the last, piece being the genuine rubber grommet, bought of someone on here last week.

more to come...

While you are there, might as well reinforce those seat mounts!

Cheers guys.

Yeah I was thinking what to do with the seat mounts,
I don't own any seats yet, so I might wait.

As already mentioned, it seems like you're a natural with the welder/fab skills.

Keep at it.
