What did you use for the sound deadening on the cabin side of the firewall?

Hey mate,

Nice build & good luck with it all. (Personal opinion) I think about 200KW ATW is a great number to aim for in the datto's lots of fun whilst not being over the top. Not too hard to achieve that number either.

Cheers,

Trent

The insulation is a foam composite with an aluminium backing, self adhesive on the other side and very light. Bought it of ebay from overseas. Seller was great with fast post and excellent communication ( I got this before I got stuff bought from an Aussie seller!!! ). Honestly its probably supposed to go on the outside of the firewall but....... I've got some butyl rubber for the floor and under the seats.
Thanks Trent. Just a nice driveable, angry when I want it to be, car will be the aim.

AND in comes the post from the dead...LOL.

Been a fair while but now the old girl is sitting on my rotisserie at 30 degrees. Has been so long because I had to make the rotisserie up. Will post some pics soon.

The new boot drop off looks good as new, is that from australian panel craft? I'm interested to see how it looks once you get the quarter panel back on there! Keep the pics coming.

Honestly I can't remember. I know I got bottom rear quarters and boot drop offs and I purchased either or from APC or Muscle Car Parts Australia (yes it has been that long since I got them).

With the patch panel on. The back bit requires some adjustments but I'll get there.

Got the plans free off of good old Google. 'Redwing' I think it was called. A fair bit of overkill for such a light car but..... I could have lashed out and got the hydraulic cylinders that were on the plans but that money can by car parts. And a scissor jack and some off cut steel do the job.

I made mine with off cuts and a trolley jack also. Worked perfectly fine. Best way to do a resto!
